Moving in July 19, 2006

It has been a while since I posted. Since then I have been working at my two jobs pulling long hours each day and the spare time that I had was dedicated to sleep and only sleep. Finally today I have a day off and I used it to move out of my current place to move in with my brother and his fiance. One good thing about moving there is that rent is cheap! My rent will be $217.00 per month which equals to a savings of about $180.00 per month in just rent alone not to mention cable, utilities and other costs associated with living in a place. Over a years time thats a savings of $2,160.00. My plan is to still act like I am paying my old rent but the savings from it will go directly in to my savings account. My thing is if I lived with that cost of rent the past year then why cant I this year but just take and save the difference.

wow..I can very well relate to our situation…you see, Im a fresh grad and starting my way on the real harsh worl..Im working on a graveyard shift here at the Philippines…As a newbie to the working community, all i wanted for m salary is to spend and spend..I dont think of saving yet cos I basically wanna have things I wasnt able to buy when I was still in college…reading your blog, I was enlightened by the reality that somehow I need to save…yes! The job market here is quiet low so its a great opportunity that im employed and earning much (as a newbie and unattached)..but now you see, Im starting to get bored but i dont wana quit…its hard to wait and now that Im earning….its best to stick with this! I was motivated by your short sharing of story…thanks…I will stay as long as I could here…there are a lot of things in the world that I haven’t tried yet so I’d start investing now…thanks a lot
