I applied for a part-time sales rep position with Dell Computers online through monster.com about 2 weeks ago. Well yesterday I got a phone interview from a recruiter for Dell. Its looks as though I will be getting the job which is good news because any additional money I recieve will be put towards investments/savings. Also its a flexible schedule that works around my full-time job. I only plan to work 10-15 hours a week and maybe a little more here and there. But hey any extra money is good for me.

This is the actual budget that I use that helps me keep track of my budget and allows me to estimate how much money I can save week to week. It’s important to me to know how much I can save because I can now turn the saved money over into investments.

Budget Spreadsheet for Year - 2006
Fresh Start… May 3, 2006

You know I started this site just to hold me accountable to keep me saving and investing money and not to blow it on every little gadget I want or think I need. So I consider buying the domain and webhost an investment to keep me accountable to my savings and investing goals.
Now a little bit about me…
I don’t have a college education, yet I am young at 22 years of age. I also don’t make a buttload of cash. I work full time just like any other American 40 hours a week. I am probably like most Americans too when it comes to saving and investing money for our future. But I would like to make a change in that!! Something hit me at the beginning of April 2006 that I was tired of not living with money. Everytime I had an emergency I had no savings to go to or anything and just quickly fell into debt.
The debt/fees/expenses I incurred is controllable, but I was just too lazy to control them
- credit cards
- late-fees on payments
- inspections on car
- overdraft fees for checking
- dining out
- going out to local watering holes
- etc.. you get the point
So now I came up with a plan to reverse all of these bad habits, and I started this website to share with everybody who is interested. My plan is a plan in action presently and I created the plan at the beginning of April 2006. I will be updating daily on what the details/results of the plan are. So stay tuned and I will keep you informed!!
