“ Do you usually research one or two stocks at a time? If so, you’d do better if you tackled a whole bunch at once, say 10 to 20″

As I keep funding and depositing money into my ShareBuilder.com account I am still trying to learn a way to pick stocks that I feel comfortable with. Though I don’t think I will ever be comfortable with any stock, I think by comparing many of them like this article suggests you enable yourself to feel more secure in your choice.
I guess I will have to see as I am learning on the spot for picking stocks. But so far what I have learned is to stay with companies that actually return a profit is probably the best advice I can take in so far. I am looking at diversifying the stocks I buy into the oil refining sector, a few etf funds that focus on Chinese companies, utility stocks, and a few small cap growth funds.
Hopefully I will start investing into some of these around the beginning to mid June.

Training is done with Dell May 26, 2006
Posted by Administrator in : Miscellaneous , add a commentYesterday which was May 24th I finally finished training for Dell. It kind of sucked having a day off from my full time job then training all day on the computer at home from 9 am till like 5 pm, but I guess I am just going to have to get used to it. I am ready to work those 5:30 am till 9:00 pm shifts. Yea right thats going to suck. But I am going to stick with it for a while and every penny I get from Dell will go right towards investments, and paying off debt such as credit cards, and pay extra on my car. Anyhow thats all for now.. if anyone has any good links for foreign investments please let me KNOW@!
Investing in China May 25, 2006

I am still funding my accounts (savings and brokerage accounts that is) but have not yet bought any stocks, bonds etc. I have really been researching to find out which stocks I should invest in. I keep looking at US companies and foreign countries. Well the one country I keep reading and hearing about is China. Make no mistake about it China’s economy is growing and growing faster by the day. But I have no idea about any Chinese companies. It is like throwing darts and hope they hit BULLSEYE. Still I feel somewhat like this but this column/article gave me a little insight about some Chinese companies.
“The statistics are startling. China’s gross domestic product is growing around 10% annually, compared to 3% or so in the United States. The consumer’s wide-open wallet is driving the U.S. economy, but consumer-spending growth in China clocked in at 13% last year, compared to 8% in the United States. China’s middle class, now estimated at 150 million to 200 million people, is expected to double in size in the next five years.”
Maybe this growth is like the dotcom growth here in the states but then we had the bubble. But every indication I see is that China is here to stay, we will see.
“Investors who have taken the plunge in China in recent years have been well rewarded. The average mutual fund that invests in China and the nearby Asian Tiger nations has gained 17.5% over the past three years, far better than the S&P 500’s 5.4%.“
Now around the early 1990’s China experiences rapid growth but then it halted. The main reason is because China’s government was too involved. Not this time around though, the growth is coming from foreign investment and companies that are public in China.
Still after reading this I find it hard to find really good information about Chinese companies and stocks but this did help me out, if anyone knows more information please leave a comment or e-mail me to help me and others out. I truly think there is a lot of potentially great investments in the Chinese market.
