Wiki Personal Finance June 22, 2006
Posted by Administrator in : Investing , add a commentWikipedia.org has a wealth of free information on it. Just type in a subject that you want to learn about and bam the information is there (damn I love the internet). This really makes me think back to elementary school when the class would go to the library and dig up the good ol encyclopedia to research everything. If I was in elementary school now, I would go to this site copy and paste everything I needed and then print it out and give it to the teacher and say “how do you like me now, is it nap time yet?”
So anyways I typed in personal finance in the search box and it came up with some incredible information.
There is a lot to read on wiki for this topic and it looks like I will be learning alot just from this and hopefully some readers will too.
Stanley Cup Champs! June 21, 2006
Posted by Administrator in : Sports , add a commentThats right the place I was born and the place I am still living is home to the Stanley Cup Champions of the NHL. I have never really been a hockey fan until this year and I plan on staying one now. I compare watching the Hurricanes to watching Duke Basketball. I find myself yelling at the TV and going crazy when we make the big plays just like Duke. I love it and it is exciting around here in Raleigh. Usually we have the rivalary of Duke, UNC, and NC State and the triangle region is divided. It is alot different to see everyone united pulling for the same team. I just wanted to say congrats to the Hurricanes for winning. I look foward to seeing my ass in the seats a little more next year at the RBC Center.
Even the mullet himself Barry Melrose decided to party with Canes fans on Glenwood South.
I found this picture on Flickr.com searching Carolina Hurricanes.
My credit card debt is going down! June 18, 2006
Posted by Administrator in : MyActualGrowth , 7 commentsI am happy to write about some more positive things going on for me personally. My credit card debt no longer sees minimum monthly payments, Ohhh no not anymore! I have been in the habit of paying every two weeks. Usually one big payment like $100.00 on such and such account followed by say $20.00-$35.00 the other week. I have seen my debt go from as much as $1,300.00 combined all the way down to around $700.00. For me that is astronomical.
That is a $600.00 swing in the other direction in a little over a month and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I hope to have one card payed off for by the first or second week of July and hopefully the other one payed off towards the end of July or more towards the first week of August. After that I plan on using just one card to pay for gas expenses and thats it, at least thats a way I can keep a better tab just how much I am spending on gas just because I am curious. But all amounts will be payed off each month to avoid interest. Like I have posted earlier about the gas card rewards, I plan on getting one at some point so this will kind of teach me to get in the habit.
Also paying off this credit card debt is a step in completing some short term goals I have set out as well.

As for that last link some of those I would not recommend unless its a last resort.
I am thinking about a gas card? June 14, 2006

Like the title says I am thinking about getting a gas card. I am not sure if I should get a pre-paid gas card or apply for a credit card rewards program for gas. The thing about the rewards program is you should pay the amount off as soon as you can to avoid interest cutting into your WALLET.
I have done some searching around and to save you some trouble here are some great links I think to help you and me decide is it beneficial to have a gas card.
